Florian Eymann
He mainly does oil on canvas series and usually uses spray paint and collage. The artist is known to create works which are disturbing but also those which question the spectator. The power of his paintings and his strokes remind us of Francis Bacon's work. Florian Eymann overlays and merges shapes and bright colors, deliberately portraying the constant impression of construction/destruction.
He works in a very orderly manner, and considers himself to be a director, as he chooses his characters, creates decors and movements. Choosing the title is key in this creation process, in order to suggest a narrative reminder or a combination of ideas. The artist seems to use unusual techniques, he muddles the tracks and erases the identities of the characters, therefore giving birth to powerful and enigmatic creations.
